Lexile Information
As mentioned at Parent Orientation Night, we are using student Lexile scores that are determined by their NWEA MPG scores for their reading levels. Once the scores are sent home, you can start supporting your child at home by providing books that suit his or her Lexile level for reading at home.
Please visit the Lexile Website: www.lexile.com
Then you can look at the top right corner of the website to access their book search. You would use this if you had a specific book and you wanted to see the Lexile score of that book by searching specific titles, authors, or ISBN numbers to see if it is in the database.

If you wanted to instead search for a list of books that fit your child's Lexile or Lexile range, right on the homepage there is a search you can use that looks like this:
From here you can put a specific Lexile number in OR put in a range. Once submitted, it will then ask for genres and interests to better help generate accurate results for your child. This is a great tool and I hope you find it useful and easy to use.
Please email me if you have any questions at all about Lexile levels!
